Mostly copy and paste from FB
Well this weekend ended up differently than what I expected. To sum up the weekend, the car just worked. Never touched a shock adjustment, and just focused on the nut behind the wheel. I was happy to get off to an early start leading STX Saturday AM, but loved further securing the position Sunday AM. I'd hate to sit on Saturday AM runs whether I was leading or not. As for the Super Challenge, I really don't know what to say. First round I punted 2 cones on the left side, but luckily advanced due to a RL. Giles (My friend) came up to me immediately after that run and said: "Stick with it Kyle, it might be your lucky weekend" Never knew that could hold so true. Broke out a couple times on the right side by a few tenths, and always seemed to find time when being down a considerable amount. Happy to go up against Laughlin in the finals. Nothing like having 1&2 filled with Ohioans, and BMW pricks. Funny thing is that I almost ran out of fuel because I didn't know I'd actually advance that far, whoops. Love to be leading the way in STX with a car no one has dared to build. At least this time people aren't dismissing the wins off course design....yet Fastest runs from class competition. |

here's my fastest run from Rocky Montain Solo Series this past weekend.
135i F-Street on Direzzas Alignment is wonky, the back is about right, but the front was toe in and too slow for my inputs. I failed to look ahead around the sweeper for the finish on every run.took 4th in class of 8, 1.5sec behind first I'm getting an alignment before the Tour. |

Congrats! I wasn't following this thread, but saw your win on the SCCA front page. So cool to see a 128i winning races.

Changed classes for today's event to the "run what you brung" class, locally called "California Street Tire," and placed 2nd. Today was a power course, which allowed me to be competitive with the usual suspects.
I like this venue much more than our region's other venue, less gritty, easier to drive power cars on.
