N54 Charge Pipe Injection (e85)
Seems there is more info on people running this on other platforms but not here. Any noticed distribution issues with our stock manifold? I’m running a PFS pod but will be trying to target 600whp on upgraded twins with full e85 which will be at the top end of what the POD can provide. As such, I’m thinking about supplementing a small amount of fuel through the charge pipe for the uppermost boost range to help out the HPFP. I know this would’ve been easier with PI but for my build I’m determined to get 600whp without PI. Does this seem like a sound setup?

Look at the cost. It's going to be better to go actual port injection. |

To be correct, not TBI, I’m specifically looking to use charge pipe injection to supplement roughly 50hp worth of e85 to take a little load off the HPFP and help with IAT. I already have the PFS POD installed and not looking to use PI as I don’t trust it. The CPI setup will be $490 all in.

My statement stands.
What you are talking sounds closer to Water/Meth Injection. Which should never be relied on for power. But in the end it's your money and your engine to blow up. Do as you wish. |

I pulled the trigger on a single CPI injector to supplement my PFS POD and get me closer to 750whp without PI. If anyone has any questions lmk. This is now a very proven and beneficial solution (supplemental fuel/lower IAT) with a lot of discussion on other forums but there just doesn't seem to be any info here with most going straight PI.
My Setup:My EOS billet fuel system outputs 8an from the in tank FPR. It splits to dual 6an at the ethanol sensor under the car. One line feeds my HPFP and the other line will go straight to the injector in the charge pipe. No, this is nothing like TBI. This has a true PWM injector and simply sprays e85 into the charge pipe using some of the extra overhead on the low pressure fuel side. No pooling, even runner distribution, more fuel, lower IAT. Win win.

Fuel it sells a kit but since I already had an available fuel line and a port injection controller I just bought the injector a la carte. I just had to buy a -4an->-6an adapter to make it work with my existing fuel line.
