Hey y’all,

Looking for a manual vert to scoot around in.

Musts:
Manual trans
Convertible
No red interior

Wants:
Black or silver exterior
Xenon headlights

Would be nice:
Sport pkg

Don’t mind higher miles with solid service history. Either 128 or 135 ok. No firm budget, willing to pay for the right example. TIA!

Thanks! I’m hoping to replace my old e30 vert, and the 1 series is a fitting successor 😊

Response to E88

I have a really nice '12 AT coming up for sale soon. Obviously not an MT, but full of recent new parts-entire cooling system rebuild incl. radiator, water pump, thermostat, overflow tank, all hoses and lines, recent brake flush and new front brakes, trans flush, diff oil, power steering flush, new Alpina-style wheels. Black Boston leather interior, no power seats or i-Drive or complex accessories. Teaser photos attached.

Not mine AND you’d need to sort through the import process, but it ticks the boxes…..

Thanks for this! I don’t think I want the import headaches. I know there are manual verts out there in the US!

I don’t know if the poster(s) found a car, but my car might fit the description:
2012
128i (N52)
6MT
Convertible
M-Sport
Convenience Package
Cold Weather Package
Premium Package
Space Gray Metallic
Boston leather in Oyster
M-Performance exhaust
~63k miles (IIRC, I don’t drive it often)
New tires (not having my maintenance entries in front of me, they probably only have a couple hundred miles on them)
No accidents or obvious blemishes
Excellent mechanical shape
Proactive maintenance
*The options above (and others) should be spelled out when decoding the VIN, which is what I did before buying it.
*My car apparently has a fairly unique configuration. Source:

Besides teleworking, I’ve taken the train to work for many years, so it has never been a daily driver for me. But, I started a new job in March that has horribly tight garage parking, so I’ll never take it to work. It took me a loooong time to find this car and I love it, so I haven’t seriously contemplated selling it, but my new work situation might change my mind. Let me know if you’re interested. Congrats if you already found “the one” as you will love it!
