Putty Rd Run Sat 13th April

Hey guys

Myself and Gerry (ABC-99G AW E92 M3) were going to do a putty rd run on this date and would like to extend the invitation to anyone else keen.

We had a similar run late last year organised by Ian on this forum , it would be great to do this again and get out on the road and blast the cobwebs out!

Us guys up north were thinking instead of meeting you guys in Sydney @ Wilberforce, we could meet you at the halfway stop www.greygumcafe.com.au have lunch and then head back through the mountain twisties (which is located north of the halfway stop so the Sydney guys last time missed this excellent stretch of road) and head up through Broke to the hunter valley gardens or harrigans irish pub and stop off there for another rest stop.

Leave Wilberforce ~ 10am arrive gum tree cafe 11am

Leave Gum tree cafe ~ 11:45 arrive at Vineyards @ 1pm (This section of road is the best of the lot with some nice twisties through the mountain and some isolated long straights)

Then for you Sydney guys if you leave the vineyards around 2pm you shall arrive at the end of the F3 by 3:30pm

Love to go but we have the V8 super cars in Auckland and the Auto aftermarket show at the convention centre Sydney, and on the Sunday Chris and i have a Autologic seminar all day.

I'm meant to be joining a mate for him trying rally driving in the Hunter that same day (plus a couple of hotlaps for me!) but I think the date might be pushed out. If it is then I might be in too. :-)

I missed the last one so I reckon I would be up for this pending me check with the gf what's happening that weekend haha. Maybe I can convince her to come too and bring another friend or two.

Whats your preference guys in stopping at the hunter?

We can stop at hunter valley gardens where there is a large carpark right at the back, a series of shops cafes bbq's etc or stop at harrigans irish pub and have an ale/coffee/lunch?
