Here's another one I've got my eye on. Don't know what/when US pricing will be done - if they even get around to exporting it.

Well - if you buy ZweierCoupe's pricing model it may be twice a 135. or if you buy C&D's pricing model maybe 3 times - I think European base is 61K euros - don't know what they'd do here since there is no history for Artega at all (new company, a subsidiary of 'paragon', an OEM supplier to the auto industry).

Would you believe a 300 HP VW VR6 w/ DSG in a two seat 2400 pound car? ; -)

Inspired by Drillslinger's posts I went out and test drove the new turbo Mini S hardtop and the supercharged convertible Mini S. Definitely fun little cars and they are now in the running with the 1er and a used 911 Carrera 4. I definetly liked driving the convertible better, but the new turbo performed better. Salesman said they should get the new turbo convertible late 2008 (about the same time the 135 cabrio should come out :wink

I'm just glad that it appears sports car enthusiasts will have so many options from whence to choose.
I am with you 100%.

The 135 first got my attention because with just a little mod money I can have a car that weighs close to 500 lbs less and has even more hp/tq than my gto (I'm willing to sacrifice a little back seat room so long as it is easier to get back there than it is in the goat).

The only car that I will also consider that you may not have is the challenger. I know it is going to be even heavier than the camaro, but if it feels right who knows.

I don't remember the exact price. I think the sticker on the turbo was about $32K. It had some REALLY nice seats that the salesman said cost $2K. I didn't price one out as I am not planning on buying anything until I can test drive the 1er cabrio. When I'm ready, my price range will be 30-35. Maybe a little more depending on where the 1er cabrio falls. I would hate to have to settle for a 128.

It was fun to drive, but it didn't quite feel as "comfortable" as my 325. It was probably just because it was unfamiliar. The turbo had a noticeable lower rpm performance increase over the supercharged. It lit the tires up going into second with the DSC on and without popping the clutch. I would definetly wait for the turbo mini convertible.
