Resetting brake maintenance without a wear sensor

I have aftermarket brakes so no wear sensor. Protocol and Carly can't reset the maintenance cycle without a sensor plugged in (I removed it and believe I tossed it). Do I really need to buy a sensor just to reset maintenance? Thx.

If you already threw out the sensor you can either make a jumper and connect the two terminals where the sensor plugs underneath the fender or if you never plan on returning to stock then just cut it off the plug twist the wires together and heat shrink it .
