not a bolt on. you must cut and weld it onto the mid pipe.

hey if you end up picking one used, make sure you have the seller supply the CORRECT clamps to attach it to the factory pipe (unless you plan on welding it together). Otherwise, the cost of the clamps is roughly ~$150 (from what I could gather).

You could do what I did. Get rear ended!!! It bought me a free perf exhaust. And you best bet would be Dan. He has the best prices...unless your looking for a used one.

Weld? why, it comes with clamps, no welding required.

That's no excuse

I'm glad the dealer didn't weld mine, I didn't like the sound and had it removed 4 days later, which would have been difficult if welded.

Well my perf exhaust was a replacement for my broken stock exhaust. So I wasn't planning on going back.

sorry about the OT OP.

I just got the resonator Y-pipe section from a member and I am going to clamp behind the cats and bolt it up to the stock muffler with golf tee mod and see how it sounds. Hopefully I get a little power gain too seing as how it's a straight pipe setup versus the resonator- I would think this is where the PE gains its power

No, PE gained much the power from the less restrictive muffler. Delete the resonater just to get a more agressive sound. Dan from BMW said this.
