I don't mean to sound like a dick, but just really fast, its not a muffler, its a resonator.

Why not buy the whole perf exhaust? Its a cut in the midpipe. Its not like there is much beyond the resonator.

muffler, resonator, whatever it is the rear section.. and I want just that part because I have the factory performance Y-pipe sitting at home ready to go. I have been thinking that the performance resonator part is identical to the stock one just with no vacuum controlled flap and stainless tips and that the gains are all in the straight pipes but I'm not sure so i decided, why not try to get the whole thing

Just buy a magnaflow/flowmaster muffler plus some tips, it will save you alot of time and money.

BMW PE consisted of the rear section with muffler attached and the y-pipes which have the resonator delete. He got the y-pipes and now he wanted to complete the PE modification by buying the missing rear section. I doubt any one who got a BMW PE would like to sell the rear section only. Good luck on your search.

Is he the same guy who sold you the y-pipes? I don't understand why people keep the y-pipes and sell the rear section? At the same token, I don't understand why don't you look for a used PE at the beginning? Well, good luck on your search.

because i wasnt in the market for one 3 weeks ago when the member in the UK had amazing deals on them, and if you look, there really aren't any for sale, and no, they are different members, the guy who sold me the Y-pipes kept the perf silencer part and put the stock black tips on it

hmm, I've been told that performance wise, the gains are in the muffler, and I like the stainless tips
