2 JL Audio 12'' W3s powered by a crunch 1500watt 1 channel amp

Their in the trunk with a sealed box, lots of rattling for now. Planning on getting a custom box for it very soon with a port that takes it inside the car so it doesn't rattle.

These are strange looking subs BMW is using. It's surprising they work as well as they do considering the design.

Thats a whole heck of a lot of power for subs only rated to 400watts. I highly doubt that crunch amp is actually capable of producing that much. How many amps is it fused?

I kinda want those OEM subs just to see how many watts they can take before they burn up... :P But no, not a serious offer.

How much better than standard are they? do you see any benefit using the standard setup amp?

Sorry I don't know too much about audio systems, my friends just told me it'd be a nice set up for what I wanted, so I went with that. Its just that one amp powering the two subs but I don't think that answers your question...

I never compared it to the standard system but for a 1200 dollar option it better of have been much better.
