Vibration on decel, specific rpms
I've scoured for an answer and can't find one that reminds me of what I'm experiencing. Hoping somewhere here can shed some light.
It's pretty simple and repeatable (most of the time).. N55, 6-MT.. Let's say I'm in 3rd gear, accelerate to 60, and back off.. when the rpm passes around 2500, I get a 'bvvvvtttt' (my vibration sound) and it quickly stops by around 2100. I can feel this vibrating in my hand on the shift lever and hear it. My guess is either driveshaft or diff related? Other notes: I don't hear it accelerating (but may be drowned out by engine/road noises). It's the second transmission and experienced exact symptoms with both. Any ideas? |

Bad giubo, worn transmission mounts, worn differential mounts?
I did experience something similar to what you’re describing when the honeycomb broke free in my high-flow cat.
