Has anyone upgraded the RSMs?
Considering BMWs previous history of failed RSMs and the resulting rear clunking, has anyone in the 1er world with aftermarket suspension done this?
I do not see a part no on Rogue's website.

lol you are obviously from the e30 world, where the rsm mounts are total shit ! i remember those days with my e30. i havent heard or seen anything about the rear shock mounts failing on e90s or e82's so i think we are fine.

Frankly, I think the RSM failure mode is overblown, even in E36/E46 land. If you replace the mount when you replace the shock, and replace shocks at a proper interval (~75K) AND you don't regularly drive over potholes on low-profile tires with a slammed suspension the RSMs should never fail catastrophically. If you track or mod, however, all bets are off.

The RSM's on the E82/E9X cars don't have the same weaknesses as the E36/E46 cars. The RSM's are of a completely different design.
