If you activate the "doors locked after x seconds" feature, doesn't this help against car jacking?

This has been documented for a few years now.

I'm sure there are many good uses. For example leaving the car running to keep warm/cool, lock car and can dash into shop.

Yep, I use it to start my car then go inside and do my final preps before leaving for work and the car is not absolutely bone cold when I have to leave.
