Initial price for 07-08 is $679 and $724 for 09+(added J-pipe) + shipping, if we hit certain quantities in GB the price will drop ie:

Qty 1-10 $679/724
Qty 11-15 $659/704
Qty 15+ $639/684

nice! And you guys are in Marlton, right? I just moved to Glassboro for the year, I may have to reconsider my initial choice for FMIC upgrade from my original choice.

PS - loving the welds

no problem! I agree and really like the way it looks.

I am no expert, but my logic tells me 3 inch piping wouldn’t make a difference unless you upped all of the piping to 3 inches. The pipe from the turbo is not 3 inches, so that’s one bottle neck, and from what I have seen, the 3 inch charge pipes shrink down to factory diameter to mate up with the factory piping, so that’s another bottleneck.

I have an ER charge pipe that increase to three inches at the throttle body. But, I didn’t get the ER charge pipe thinking it would increase flow. I got it because I believe the throttle body diameter is 3 inch and I like the idea of a smooth path for the air going into the motor.

Finally, three inch piping may be hard to route, especially on the cold side because space is limited.

Again, I’m no expert, but just explaining my logic and to me, I don’t think you are missing out on anything with the piping size used by this intercooler.

Nice, that is a killer deal. Hopefully there are enough people that will be able to take advantage of the group buy pricing.

These intercoolers with 2.5" connectors have been pushed to 600+hp on the Vishnu cars FWIW!

Never saw any info on this. What's the pressure drop across this unit?

We developed the stepped core concept/intercoolers on my 2007 335i and were originally sold for several years through Helix. If anyone cares to do a search on my screen name you can see our lineage back to when the Turbo BMW cars were released in the US we've been here a LONG time!

We do plan on releasing pre-post IC temp as well as pressure drop data on the E90/92/135i intercoolers as we did with the new n20/f30 version!

We are working on the GB post and it should be up in the next few days. In the meantime anyone that wants to jump in you can simply PayPal us a $100 deposit and pay this acct:

Ambientthermalmanagement@yahoo.com

We should have 5 intercoolers(with 15 more following those)ready to go within a week to 10 days. our sandblasting finishing company has been shut down through the holidays, once we get them back we will start shipping them out in GB order.

We have several Australian people interested and we need to get shipping quotes via USPS BUT we need an n54 intercooler to package up, just waiting on those to get back to us from the sandblasting company. We will only charge whatever usps shipping rates are + packaging costs so if you want to get one of the first 5 that we will be shipping out simply PayPal us a $100 deposit at
Ambientthermalmanagement@yahoo.com

Thanks,
Mark

Cool, deposit sent via paypal. Looking at those welds, I bet you'll sell all 20 through the GB

nice to see the group buy will be posted soon.

this is an awesome deal and nice to see people signing up already.

you guys will not be disappointed. I am a happy customer already, but if we can get 16 people to make the lowest pricing, I will be more happy!!! lol.

seriously though, let me know if anyone has any additional questions about the intercooler or installation, I will be glad to help if I can.
