This is exactly what I am looking for. The only problem with it is that the 135i looks a tad bit better. However, I love the fact that all of changes are purely for functionality. I just love this thing. I really do.

Garage List
Not performance oriented, but I like the fact that there's padding between the rear seats instead of that tray

Looks amazing IMO.. except for the hood stripes...

This just helped me take a decision regarding my E46 M3, I'll just keep it until they make something like this!!

You guys are harsh... They incorporated all that we want and put on our cars, wheels, carbon fiber, big brakes, alcantra racing ''type'' seats, shifter, spoiler, pedals, skirts, bumpers, exhaust, etc. If this was a member's 135, we would all be drooling over it.

Now let's wait to see what they do with the drivetrain. BMW does not have the reputation of letting people down in that department...:headbang:

Correct.

The tires are also Dunlop, and not Bridgestone. ( not run flats ? )
DSST lettering on the tires means runflats I think...

If it does have a hard core suspension and is lighter than the 135i I would wait for it.
Why? It would certainly carry a huge premium over the regular car, and you could duplicate every bit of it much cheaper (and with more choice) in the aftermarket.

Wheels, suspension, Vorsteiner (vented) CF hood? No problem.

I would take 150 lbs. of weight reduction, a mechanical LSD, some lighter rims, larger brakes, slotted/cross-drilled rotors, those seats, anthracite headliner, sunroof delete, and a mild tune to say 350hp from the factory for less than $45K plz!

Noticed but not mentioned in the text (I admit I got tired of reading, though):
1. Sits lower = stiffer springs? Stiffer roll bars?
2. Wider front wheels (like'em) and tires = less understeer. Yeah!
3. drilled/slotted brake rotors.

It's just a DESIGN CONCEPT, people. You don't get any details about suspension, engine, etc because they're not important at this time. It is a litmus test for STYLING to see if the public gives it a thumbs up or down.

However, it is an indicator that BMW perhaps intends to do a hotter 1-series variant that will not be available in the spring. Whether it's an M1 or a 135tii is TBD. I would however expect lower and stiffer suspension and *maybe* slightly different engine/exhaust tuning.

That is not a BMW assigned date, but my date I want to pick up the car. We'll see.

for me, I am finding that I much prefer the single color, no lip "racing" wheels with spokes out the the edge of the rim. Think E46 M3 CSL, etc....

Throw some dish in there, it's goooood....

I agree. It makes the rim look larger and it's a cleaner design.

Why? It would certainly carry a huge premium over the regular car, and you could duplicate every bit of it much cheaper (and with more choice) in the aftermarket.

Wheels, suspension, Vorsteiner (vented) CF hood? No problem.
Well, it would depend on how much that premium would be, as well as how good the suspension and other mods would really be.
I don't like to spend too much on cars, and on the 135i I am quite sure I would have to spend up to 4k in wheels/tires and suspension.
....I have only changed brake pads on my E46 M3 ZCP, and tires when they were worn out. ( thats 12K miles for the rears...)

??? The majority of this mods appear to be for looks, not functionality...

Bingo...my big worry is the delay in getting the aftermarket up to speed, however I'm hoping one of my 2 big concerns (engine and suspension) will be very quick because of the 335 sharing the same engine and having been out for a while (too bad the exhaust isn't the same...)
