Ceramic iDrive Controller?
Has anyone swapped out the idrive controller for one of the ceramic ones? I was planning on doing this on my F30 but was wondering about the E82. All the buttons are identical so thought it might work.

I've thought about it but never pursued the idea any further. Were ceramic controls offered on any E chassis BMW? What's the part number for the ceramic iDrive controller if so? How about the shifter?

That part number corresponds to the updated iDrive controller with the touch pad on top of the knob. I don't believe that will work in an E chassis BMW.

I know the touch pad wouldn't work but would everything else function?
Looks so much better than the stock controller. Last edited by rennwerkes; 11-27-2019 at 09:59 PM.. |
