Just got into an accident!
Crashed the front of my car to the point where i need a new front bumper and new hood. Although this sucks, it will give me a chance to maybe put some after market pats on my car. Just wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions of some aftermarket front bumpers and hoods that might make my 1ER stand out a little bit more.
Any suggestions would be great! David |

Same thing happened to me last winter! I got a seibon CF hood and the BMW aero bumper. There aren't too many bumper options, since most companies are focused on making lip spoilers or splitters for the OEM bumper, but there are a good number of aftermarket hoods out there.

Honestly, I would love to go for the ER widebody, shit just scares me..I mean not only is it mucho money ($2k+) but does the wider front bumper change the size of the lower grill and left and right ducts? If so I would think that would look a bit awkward, also wondering if that kit comes with the lower honeycomb grill, etc.
Also..if I had that kit and went from a 8.5" front 9.5" rear to a 9.5" front and rear, likely 265 tire straight setup, wouldnt that cause understeer due to it being a rwd car and not AWD? I thought that was the whole idea behind a wider rear track width for rwd cars Course that and the fact that im left with wtf to do with my stock bumper, fenders and skirts thereafter. Thats alotta stock parts leftover sitting in my garage |

You should definitely be the first one to get this new hood:

And Thez the ER kit looks bone stock. I was followed by one for about 15 miles on saturday so I got a good chance to check it out. The FMIC intake is the same size as stock the left and right sides are larger, but it isn't very noticible. It's actually a very subtle piece, you know, so long as you paint all of the CF haha And no, a larger rear tire increases understeer (the bad one). by making the front tire the same size as the rear tire you make the car more neutral, which is what you want Last edited by BrokenVert; 09-12-2011 at 09:32 AM.. |
