Thinking of Removing Berk Exhaust

Hey y'all, like my title says, I'm thinking of removing my Berk street axle back and resonated midpipes. They've been fun for the four years I've had them installed, but as I get older I realize home much they must drive my neighbors crazy and the highway drone has become unbearable.

I still would like to have a little fun. Does anyone know if there will be a significant difference if I just swap over midpipes to stock, but keep my axle back component?

I'm berk mid and stock rear. I like it. If you leave the valve intact it's almost silent cruising down the highway.

I have berk street on a 128 axle back. No drone. SOunds great. I would think turbo and stock mid pipes would be fine.

Remember that OP has an N55, no secondary cat in the stock mids to begin with, just resonator.

2011 N55.
I have the Berk mids and street muffler as well.
I have considered swapping to the stock muffler for the valve and keep the Berk mids to see how it sounds. I haven't done it yet. I'd rather track down a PE exhaust and leave the Berk mids. That's something I would like to hear. The highway drone at cruising is annoying.

So sad to hear people are saying the Berk Exhaust is to loud. I have Catless Downpipes, Berk Midpipes and Berk Race Exhaust and it's still not loud enough for me. I dont think any exhaust sounds more exotic on the 135i than the full Berk Race Exhaust setup but I want it to be louder like GTRs. And here are people removing theirs.

It's not too loud for me, I just wish it had a valve for highway cruising, tone down the drone. I put 2-3k on the car a year and spend more time making changes to the mods than driving it. I have changed the downpipe 2x, intake 3x (want to build a short ram), wheels 3x, and tires 6x. The exhaust is low on my list to swap out again.

I had catless dp stock mid and berk race. Loved the sound but hated the drone too. Took it off after a month. After removing it I've always wanted to do an electric cut out somewhere in the mid pipe. I'm not sure if anyone has done this tho

The drone doesnt bother me at all to be honest. I dont even notice it. I do track my car at COTA so it's more of a track car but it is my daily. I dont even notice the drone lol.

Planning to do the ECS vacuum actuated cut out right before the stock rear muffler and use the oem vacuum line to open it. Now thinking about this more, would it be better to do dual cut outs on the mid pipes? Has anyone here done that?
