just thought id let you guys know, i picked up the performance gear knob and the alcantara boot (but didnt get the ssk! lol). Installed it, but not too sure if i prefer it over the M knob....
Main reason why i got it was so that i could match it with the performance handbrake boot, wonder how much they cost here in aus? might check with a dealer... was also wondering if it was possible to put the m knob with the alcantara boot... might have a little play around with it |

I dont think with the 130i/125i/128i the exhaust has to be dropped. Read here on that only the 135i's exhaust has to be dropped. I think alot of people have put their M knob back onto the ssk. I emailed reddish re. the ssk this evening, I think I will get the ssk w/o the boot, but let us know how it goes jksgoh.

jksgoh, if you search for the diy for the 128i ssk install it says the exhaust does not need to be dropped. is the 115gbp including the alcantara bits and pieces?

Thats sounds pretty good. Im going into the dealer tomorrow, will talk to my salesman regarding the install (if he can get me a reduced price ). When I rang up yesterday, the accessories person quoted me for just over 2 hours for installation.

THIS THRED IS USELESS WITHOUT PHOTOS!
I put a UUC SSK kit on my E34 and looking to put one on my 128i. What are you reviews after putting it in. Was it worth it? |

Just ordered a UUC EVO 3 SSK for my 128i. The shifter is actually designed for the 330i but should fit.
Excited to test it out as I am the first to put one in my car Expect photos |

Is there a way to keep the original shift knob with the SSK kit ? I have 128 with the mpack and love the shift knob feeling and look, don't want to change it.

Dead easy job took me 2 hours to do and most of that time was trying to figure a good way to get the car up in the air. BTW I put the UUC EVO III SSK kit, much better than the BMW one...no plastic |

You can put what ever knob you want on the ssk kit. The shifter is just a lever, and you put what ever knob on you like. |
