I upgraded to Perf sideskirts after about a month of ownership. I now think the stock skirts look very strange with the swooping line.

I really dislike the look of the latest 3 coupe... talk about boring and conservative.

I love the old Z3 coupe though. It has a unique shape that reminds me of the old XKE 2+2s or maybe a hardtop MG. Cool!

From the rear, 10/10, front anywhere from 6/10 to 8/10 depending on angle. Headlights tend to be a bit bug-eyed. Still love it though.

Honestly, I love the look of my 128i. I love the way the tires bulge out from the front fenders. And I think my favorite view of it is the side on view. But that is just me.

The only complaint I have is with the sideskirts, i wish they were cut straight like the e46 sideskirts in the picture below and not curved.

That's what I was saying as well. I think the perf sides help with that though... Here they are on my car:

For sure. Something definitely draws us to these cars. This may be my favorite car that I've owned yet and its quirky look is part of it (my neighbor just walked by and said "I haven't seen one of these...")

I almost got those... I thought my mods were done for the year but maybe not. The Space Gray seems to change a lot depending on the light. Sometimes it looks like it has a little blue or even purple in it. I think I just caught mine at an off moment.

Time will tell, but it might take the next version of the 1 for us to know. If the 3's are any indication, the 1's successors may have us liking the E82 even more.

The direct front on angle is the worst imo... usually the 1er looks pretty good to me when it's sitting by itself. But I parked next to a black E92 M3 today... and man it does look ugly sitting next to that =(

Whether it's "ugly" or not--(I think not)--it's still more tough looking and aggressive looking and less boring than the 3. A lot less commonplace too. I love the look of the M3, but the regular 3 is a bit too boring. The 1 stands out more- I love the bigger kidney grills.

after almost 2 years of having it, I don't know what I think of the looks... All I know is that I am deeply in love with it.

I guess we 1 owners look deeper and appreciate character over simply exterior looks.
Ladies, we are real men who will look past your slight imperfections as long as you deliver excellent "sporting performance".
We really prefer your true postitive attributes, think Scarlett Johannson, or Sandra Bullock, to any number of Barbie lookalikes.

Wow! Reading the comments, it seems like most people have at least one thing or so that is not favorable to them on the 1. I guess I am the weird one here who says I like the car at all sides and angles. Hmmm.......I guess I picked the wrong time to stop sniffing glue

For those who don't like the front, all you have to do is to look at the front of the current 3. It literally looks like the car suffered a stroke and everything sagged down. Outright ugly IMHO.
