I feel the car very stable at 250 , i think maybe if removing the limit and go for 280kph maybe will be good to put bmw carbon spoiler.

I did 193mph in my 135i

No rear spoiler, meth (100% m10), 100 octane, map 9, catless dp's, stock fmic, rr exhaust, bms sld.

It felt good until I had to slow down and it was the suspension not the brakes that made me nervous.

Now I have jic coils and it is steady as can be and the fmic makes a big difference on long pulls

Stock wheels and tires as well

It was a long and strait road.

I would never attempt to go over 150 on anything with slight turns.

Here are some videos I have posted here before. I took them this summer. When I go WOT I only stopped when the car reached its speed limiter at 155 mph. I shift at 6K rpms. This might give you a small taste of what life is like on the Autobahn with no speed limits. This was on the A70 coming from Bayreuth to Bamberg. Not an ideal autobahn for V-max but safe enough in these places.

Sorry about my crappy camera mount(thats what is making all that jiggling sounds). I have since built a better one. Humm... maybe I need to shoot some more videos soon!

Btw... my car is bone stock and has the OE exhaust. It's only been reamed out on the Autobahns at WOT.

car is looking pretty stable..... How fast are the big trucks going on the Autoban?

how many RPM do you have left after you hit the rev limiter? are you hitting the limiter in 5th gear?

Trucks (LKW's = Last Kraft Wagens) have a 80 kph speed limit on the AUtobahn. Even on free, no speed limit sections like I took the video. Plus they have to have a on board data recorder for the speed and time they drive - for when and IF the Polizei stop them. But most trucks travel at 95 or 100 kph.

The speed limiter is speed based, not RPM based. It doesn't matter IF I am in 5th or 6th gear. the ECU will cut the engine power at 155 mph. Scroll up (earlier post!) for my dash/gauge photo for the revs in 6th (MT).

Like I said before... the car is NOT so stable after 130 mph, you just can not tell in the video.

I had my 128i up to 235kph during our Euro Delivery. I didn't push it to max speed because the engine was new.

No.

Trucks have a speed limit of 80 kph on ALL AUTOBAHNS in Germany.

You will find that most drive between 80 and 100 kph. No faster. Sure they could drive faster... but the Polizei or the special BAG (truck polizei) would be on them faster than white on rice.

It is recomended that all cars drive 130 kph on the autobahn. EVEN in unristricted autobahns (ie no speed limit) IF you drive faster, and you get into an accident. Your insurance has the right not to pay for that insurance claim. This is also why most Germans will slow down for road conditions, in rain or snow or fog. Not because its the right thing to do... but bc it can cost them A LOT of money!

I also think all EU trucks are limited to 500 PS (Hp). No matter what size engine they have.

Trucks can not drive on the autobahn from 10pm Saturday to 10pm Sunday. Not unless they have special cargo like food that will go bad, onboard.

Truck drivers can not drive more than eight hours behind the wheel without taking a ten hour break (I think). This is why you see two drivers for long haul trucks or buses.

Buses have to have a safety inspection every THREE MONTHS. Trucks every year. But the Polizei can have them tested for safety IF they feel the truck is unsafe. When that happens. Its game over for that truck driver. End of his journey.

Another thing about winter driving is... you must carry winter car gear. Blanket, snacks/food, ice scraper, deicer, ect. When the Polizei do randon stops/Kontrols... if you don't have that stuff you can get fined and points on your drivers licsence.

When it is under 7'C, your car MUST have winter tires or all season tires on. IF you get into an accident you will be found at fault even if someone else hit your car. AND you will pay dearly for that. For many years.

When your car is covered with snow... you must clean it off (all of the snow! Not just from the windshield, but roof and all of the car!) or risk a fine & points from the Polizei. There is nothing more dangerous than driving on the 'bahn when a big chunk of ice comes flying off another car or truck. Strick enforcement is how you get people to change they habbits. Welcome to Germany!

Btw the V-max speed limit is a gentleman's agreement (with a 250 kph max speed limit) with Audi, BMW & MB. Only Porsche's come delivered with no electronic speed limiters. I think that gentleman's agreement started in the mid 1980's when average cars started to really have high top end speeds.

Even though 250 kph is the official speed limit for cars sold in Germany. On some of the "hot cars" sold in Germany... like M models (BMW), RS (Audi) and AMG (MB), there seems to be an unoffical 280 kph club. Most Porsche's are around the 300 kph mark.

So you are just guessing - especially since that is well above the 335i power peak.

Uh, which stock bikes can exceed 300 kph? There are a number of cars that can better 320.
