Looks like I caved and ordered some mud flaps all around. I hope they look as aggressive installed as they do in the pics I've seen.

I caved as well and ordered a set last night... the rocker panel areas directly behind my front wheels are really taking a beating. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that the OEM set really does install cleanly onto my 135is, even though they say 'not for cars with aero kit'.

You should be fine Rick. The aero kit would be that curvier performance bumper and performance side skirts, which we don't have.

The aero kit is not synonymous with 135 M-sport. Aero parts are totally separate/different.

Christmas came early for me this year, I scored a set of Michelin PSS with 9/32nd tread in 225/40 and 255/35-18 fitment for $750 shipped. I'll keep them in storage and slap them on after the RFT's wear down.

My wish list:

Set of shinny black grilles.
Above all though......a mild winter with record lack of snow...followed by early spring.

I don't think that's too much to ask for!!

Thanks guys for the reassurance. I think my confusion started with the BMW web site which lists "Aerodynamic kit" as a feature of the 135i and 135is. At any rate, many before me have successfully installed the OEM mud flaps with good results, so I should be fine.

Tii, I'm sure you will love the PSSs whenever you get around to installing them. You got a great price on tires which are nearly new… I believe my tread depth is only 10/32" new.

well it looks like I'll be getting some performance side skirts... I got an email from my family asking if they were the right ones...

This is why it's hard to ask for car parts, there is almost never a surprise aspect to it.

Congrats and thank you very much for your service to our country.
You'll have a blast touring around the east coast.

I retired last Dec after 37 years. I picked my 135i up in January.
