DAMN speed cam in MD

I was just reading that other thread about speed cameras - well, guess what, i just got mine 41 on 30 mph (only $40 though so that's not so bad). i wonder if it would go on the record or to the insurance company?

also, does it go into the VA DMV system if i just pay it?

it was taken on 12/28 on400 Blk W. Montgomery Ave, MD. i hardly ever goes to MD and i was just there for dinner.. got my pic taken. at least my car looks pretty hawwwt on it

i always thought MD is a great place to drive fast, guess not. there is no safe place anymore!!!

Jackson,

Just stay on the highways in MD. I am still surprised they dinged you for 11 over. That is BS. If you go to MD a lot you need to get the Nav disc that shows all of the cameras. Ask Paul about it.

I read somewhere that said if you go over 10 red and speed camera will get you.

BTW, is there really a Nav disc that shows all of the cameras? $$

well, i need to scan it but dont have scanner. it's a lil dark (it was 5:30 pm afterall) but has two pix of the back of my car (so sexy even on speed cam..lol) and one REAL close up shot of my license plate.

i do have to give MD credit for having a nice looking "ticket" and nice pictures all laying out on the. the fine wasn't so bad, $40.. but i hope it wont go on the VA DMV record. does anyone know how it works?

i usually have a lil more fun in MD highways but just so happend was eating in Rockville (cant remember the name of the resturant but it wasnt even that good) and got my FIRST EVER speed camera ticket.

Paul, you wanna hook me up with some updated Nav DVD with redlight/cam info?

Don - it was right after our drive up to MD. was freakin starving so ended up in Rockville on the way back.
btw, i talked to the black Z owner (Ian) yesterday who you ran with that day.. he said he drools over your car and had a blast. too bad i didnt get a chance to run w/ him..now with the 1.22, hopefully no more limp.. gotta do some more testing and another dyno. anyone wanna come check it out? might do it here in the next couple of weeks at the same dyno place.

It will not go on your record. Just pay the fine and you will be fine.
I got plenty of those when I used to live in MD.

it is a nav disc that you copy your original one from and edit the POI's (point of interests). you add in POI's according to where the cameras are and then your car should chime a prerecorded chime as you approach, reminding you of the location of these cameras. they do not by any means update to new cameras on their own. dont know why i know...just do

I downloaded a new DVD disc from a torrent Site...I am going to burn it and see what happens...supposedly the author has put in all known redlight and speed cameras. Anyone else interested on trying it can search for BMW navigation disc on thepiratebay.org

In my experience (3 or 4, maybe 5 speed cameras fines) they are not tied to the DMV in terms of your license....think of them more like parking tickets rather then speeding tickets...So in that light if you are going to pay on time would you really care if goes into the VA DMV system?

No to all. They can't assess points if they can't identify the driver.

I've gotten two speedcam tickets in DC on 295. Same spot, same speed one year apart. I swear they just sent me the same pic and hoped I wouldn't notice. Both times I was in my truck pulling my boat with a cement truck in the background! What a ripoff!!

I have yet to be photographed or pulled over in the 335. Shouldn't have said anything -That'll end next time I go out!
