De-badge or Mis-badge or is it just being a Try-hard
hi guys,
would like to know everyone's opinion and thoughts on Debadging a car or like I have even heard some people are thinking of putting a M badge on their new 1 series coupe. I wouldnt mind having no badge, but putting a M badge is just off limits..... what are your thoughts? how many would de badge? and how many would put a M badge? cheers, Ronnie

Personally i prefer to keep the original badge.
The way i see it is that you should be proud of what you have! i would leave the ///M for the real stuff. but to each his own... |

I prefer to leave everything (except perhaps the tyre) stock standard as the maker intended, right down to the badges. I hate modded cars.

The only Bimmers that should display an M badge are those that can with one from the factory. It just ain't cool to pretend to be something you're not, even when you're a car!
As far as de-badging goes, each to their own. It can make for a cleaner look, but I'll decide once I take delivery of my car... if that day in June ever comes!!!

I would strongly agree with you corey, M should come straight from BMW, re: de-badging, i am leaning towards having a cleaner look. but then again, am not sure, i have seen a few pics on this site and kinda like it, but am not sure yet.

Given that I'm going with the M Sports kit and 18" rims, I thought maybe if I remove the badge people will think it's "one of those bloody 135's!", but that'll be a bit hard with a BM 125 number plate!

Gone the debadge. Cleaner, and will mess with a few minds on the road.
Don't believe in false rebadging. A trick for pretenders. Weak.
