XM SAT aftermarket module

Has anyone installed one of these and if so what interface did you use to make it work with the head unit.

No such item at this time, but we are putting the final touches on our own kit that will be released shortly.

Expect standard features like radio/steering wheel control, factory presets and text display.

Should be releasing the kits before Thanksgiving weekend, we are performing final bug testing in our 1 series as we speak.

The kits are designed to utilize the factory harness and roof antenna.

We're golden on the 3/5/7 series, a bit more testing is needed on the newer 1 radios for QC.

We'll be continuing cleanup shortly after SEMA this week.

I'm hot for this - I'm hooked on XM. The latest from the combined XM/Sirius is to offer "The Best OF" the "other" to current subscribers. But their "Best Of XM" doesn't come close to my definition, so Sirus with "Best Of XM" is not an option. I gotta have my XM!

I'm anxiously awaiting this kit. I hope EAS can get the bugs worked out soon!

Have Fun,
Rick

I was really hot-to-trot for this - but things changed for me yesterday:

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...41&postcount=1

I still love XM, but they carried over my favorite channels to Sirius, so there's nothing stopping me from getting the Sirius kit.

Have Fun,
Rick

Considering the recent (yesterday) merging of several XM/Sirius channels, and the "Best of XM" package, is it really worth it?

I'm an XM subscriber with my Honda, and I do like the channel lineup. If I get the Siruis tuner in a 135i, does anyone know if that qualifies for the 2nd tuner discount (I think that's an extra $6 a month), or do they both have to be XM to get the 2nd tuner discount?

The BMW kit includes one year of Sirius - by the time that is up, there will probably be a whole new rate structure.

For those of you who are leasing, I was going to forgo the $595 Satellite Radio option and just use an aftermarket tuner due to cost. However, when I optioned my car out, it was only another $8 per month for the option over 24 months ($192 total including 1 year subscription). So it was actually cheaper to just spec it from new since it's residualized.
