Best bolt on FMIC you can install on a 1M

Hi,
I'm looking to upgrade the factory OEM FMIC for something more efficient. I'm doing around 5-10 track day during the summer.

I already have installed an Evolution Racewerks charge pipe with TIAL BOV.

I'm looking for something bolt on with no cut out.

Thx

I got the ETS 5" intercooler. Install was fairly simple. I have it paired with the ER CP as well. Works great!

I went w/ Forge because I did not want to cut anything m; fitment and quality is top notch. If cutting isn't and issue then the slightly larger 7"ETS would be a good choice as well.

I believe the Evolve is a direct for as well GL

I went with the Cobb unit. No permanent modifications to the car and like the others it has a stepped core.

Got a Wagner evo intercooler installed, and no issues on track, definitely recommended.

I have a 7" VRSF intercooler. Trimming was required but not a lot like you'd think.. Very easy install.. Took me 1 hour to remove the OEM stock intercooler and install the new one including the trimming. Hope this helps, good luck!

From what I have read, the absolute best Intercooler on the market should be the Ambient Thermal Management stepped Intercooler. They use to make intercooler a for Helix and now sell them as their own brand.

From what I have tested the best you can buy for the stock location is the

Wagner Evo 2 Competition http://www.wagner-tuning.com/EVO-2-C...1044_p_90.html

Here is a good review http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31479

Anybody experience with a evolve/pwr intercooler?
I prefer p&p and tube and fin. So i think that's the only option.

The Wagner is tube and fin and far superior to anything on the market pretty much plug and play
The only thing you have to change is the connections from the factory pipes

i'm on the wagner intercooler, and fitting is spot on, very very good. However, with regards to performance, it is only marginally better than stock.

If you're thinking of running more boost and higher hp, go for bigger solutions such as the VRSF 7" intercooler. I've heard many good things about it.

Nice... I'm not sure which one I got, but I was one of the few that bought it when it first came out.

I have a Wagner tube and fin on the way. My research told me it was the best kit option on the market, hopefully it lives up to it.

For me the biggest concern was ensuring it was lightweight, with good flow so as to not disrupt throttle response, and third priority was cooling capacity as I'm not chasing big power so knew all the top-tier intercoolers would have adequate cooling for my needs. The Wagner seemed to tick those boxes better than most, and certainly had the best combination of the three.

Another tube and fin intercooler kit for the 1m.
No cutting ...
What do you think?

http://www.proalloy.co.uk/cgi-bin/si...act=det&p=2071

Can't choose
Wagner comp evo1, pro alloy or pwr/evolve
All tube and fin intercooler kits

The Wagner evo comp 2 preformed flawlessly at my last track day, temps never exceeded 100 f

The ic is the best you can get in terms of cooling in the stock location but in summer it does struggle

These cars where never designed to run the power we are getting out of these cars in the Australian heat

I'm looking into upgrading to the jd75/advan big Ic

Seen the results and they where very impressive

But jd75 will have to step in and let you guys know the results

Look at it this way you will never need to upgrade the Ic ever again on these cars

Besides a larger FMIC... I think you ought to research getting a new oil cooler or add-on oil cooler.
