anyone try sunroof delete?
saw some of e90 and e46 bimmers have done that, which will save about 40lbs top weight, but never heard of e82 or e87 bimmers do that. the sunroof delete plug for e90 is very similar to e82, i guess, because the dimiter of e90 and e87 is the same.maybe just little bit different. anyone have done that please share the experience. thanks!!

Terry from BMS did it. There is a thread about cutting weight from his 135i on n54tech.

Just the sunroof. I think he bought one of those eBay CF panels for an e90 and made it fit. I'll see if I can find the thread.

Yes, but in a good way. Wish mine didn't have a sunroof as well.

Interesting that this came up again. I haven't used my sunroof in forever, starting to think about deleting it.

I haven't used mine in a couple of years. Will have to give it a try and see if it's still working. Maybe wait till after a detail this week... when the sunroof is clean and dust free.

I love my factory 128i slicktop, more headroom and less weight. Never thought they existed but when I saw this one I jumped on it. For the sunroof guys its about 1400 for the carbon panel, 80 for the x brace then over 800 for the headliner. That doesn't even include the removal of the rivets, f/r glass . Then add in the labor to put it on. Gets spendy real quick.
