Great car, great pics. Thanks.

Above pic says: if you want to drive 1M, be ready to wash the sides often.
Very true.. I hope that whole area is decently resistant to rock chips.

Wow! When in development phase, I thought that very few things could be done to make a 1 coupe improve its looks. Now, compared to the 1M, the regular 135i looks soooo...regular. 1M is simply spectacular!

I want one... not in that color

PS not to be too critical of a 47k car but that seriously needs to be wet sanded. That color can be called Valencia Orange (Peel).

I guess BMW really fell for the "if you add a sticker it will make it faster" rumor.

It may not be an M motor but it is a great motor... until the HPFP dies, then the injectors, vanos solonoids all while the turbos rattle.

Looks like BMW finally made a perfect M car. I have never been a fan of the 1 series, but this one takes the cake.

As the OP described... Valencia Orange is just not picked up well in photos. For example, these photos, in all their glory, and they are OUTSTANDING photos, still make it seem a little too bright and LOOK AT ME now. It's really a pleasing color, and not nearly as ostentatious as it comes across in photos. It's not anywhere near a GTS orange, which it tends to look like in photos. It's definitely metallic, and quite unique. I hesitate to liken it to byzanz, as that color is more of a copper color and a lot of people don't like it.... but I completely anticipate this color having it's own cult following ala Inka Orange, and Henna.

Personally.. I do think the car looks best in black... but that's my favorite car color....natch. The OP did do a GREAT job of taking some photos looking at the front end, showing how massively wide the front fenders and rear quarters are. The car really looks downright MEAN in person.. Menacing is a great adjective.. It's totally badass from front and the rear...

parts of this car I love (like the color) but most of it is just overkill IMO. The alacantra is a cheap substitute for a real M interior, the stitching is cheesy, and the front end just doesn't look finished to me. Not to mention, the wheel gap with these competition CSL wheels looks terrible, maybe they shoulda stuck with 18's (like 260M's) and dropped it another .25-.5".

Honestly, it works ok with the orange car...I'd prefer it to be clear, but it doesn't stand out as much on Orange as it will on the White or Black.

it doesn't even look bad on those colors... REALLY stands out on blues and reds though.

Really like the orange stitching. Adds a nice touch to bring that color together.
