I'm surprised the order system your CA has access to has not updated yet. Mine seems to be spot-on as of late.

It was spot on until the car got released to the port. I suppose now there are more variables and people involved in the equation so it's not as precise as before...patiently waiting.

I was told most likely 3rd weekend of October, which doesn't sound nearly as bad considering the month has 5 weekends lol

BMW is really testing people's patience with this stupid process. My car has been sitting at the port for over 2 weeks (if the tracking system is indeed correct) - I'm truly hoping for the suggested "delayed tracking system and the car is already on a boat" because this is beyond ridiculous.

I just looked back over the thread and see that your car completed production on 9/14. Based on that you still have a few more days if your process ends up being similar to mine. I completed production on July 22 and I got on a boat on Aug 12th. (21 days). My status changed on the 13th (22 days). You're at 19 days.

for real man! Kay Seglar wasn't joking when he said "Now it's your turn, but you'll have to wait"

The question is: when your status changed, had your car been on a ship for a few days already? Or did your car get on a ship that day and you started counting then?

I've hears both theories so who knows where the heck the car is...but this stupid 2-3 week unnecessary wait is rather disappointing.

Guess my sales manager was pretty educated afterall.

My status changed on the 13th, The ship supposedly sailed from Bremehaven on the 11th of August.

The boat my car was on was the Florida Highway. It has already made another round trip since then and other forum members cars were on this boat. It is set to set sail again on Oct 5th, so maybe you will get on it and have some info by Friday... Good Luck!

I remembered when this statement was made and thought the same thing. In a perfect world and with perfect conditions, I'm sure it could take a few days to get on a ship. Your CA covered his ass by giving you a timeframe that's more realistic. The Performane Center does the same thing when booking pickup dates.

He gave you a "worse case scenario" and unfortunately it seems like my car is following that line, so there is certainly validity to his statement Both previously delivered cars here in Jax were early...I know because I tracked them both and went to see them personally. I wasn't just pulling info out of my behind, but I did give ranges and not exact days.

I also heard (have not confirmed) that a ship left the port on the 14th which was exactly when my car was completed. I believe I missed that ship by a few days. Oh well...let the wait continue!

Actually, I think he gave him a "normal case scenario" and your friends experienced a "best case scenario". Your timeframe, my timeframe, and just about everyone else's time frame seems to fit the 3 weeks from production to on a boat scenario. Also, boats are leaving every3-4 days so just because you missed the boat on the 14th doesn't mean that 4 other boats haven't come and gone since then.

Awesome, so you ended up at 2 weeks from prod complete to on a boat. It'll be here before you know it now. Congrats!
