Just called Rasmussen BMW in Portland, OR as they are the only dealership in this state which supports Dinan. The guy with who I spoke reports, unequivocally, Dinan mods do not void the BMW 4-year warranty.

Call that stores Service Manager, and have him post that up here. I can call 3 stores and get a diff answer. Nothing personal but its not up to anybody but the store Service Manager. In most cases if you don't have a spotless record, then next in line is the Regional Service Manager.
It's not up to the store, it's up to BMW, because they set the rules.

putting non-oem parts on your car, in and of itself, does not void your warranty. warranty issues arise when you bring your car in for service and said parts are found to be a contributing factor to the cause for a warranty claim. and fwiw, i also think this issue is highly dealer-specific. |

You misunderstood. I'm speaking of the Dinan warranty. Any part you put on the car (intake, exhaust...) voids the Dinana warranty. And BMW warranty is decided by BMW (ultimately). This is where finger pointing WILL occurr.

I'm sure all of the products will work well. My concern is traction. It seems that there is limited space for tires larger than stock. 245's won't cut it with 350WHP/tq. 275's will also be a handful.

Ok, I ordered V3. I intend to install it on my v81 135i with the doomsday map!
Putting the dual cone intake on too. If anyone in Atlanta wants to join me, let me know! |
