Difference Between 128i & 135i Body

Am I missing anything that's different (rim sizes differences not included):

1) 128i has foglights, 135i does not (hence, making the front body kit different between the 2 vehicles)

2) 128i does not have rear plastic bumper, 135i does

Anything else?

I believe the tall pipe finish is different between the cars. I think.

I believe that there is greater flaring of the wheel wells and other differences in body kit. I will look for comparative pics & post.

Update..flaring looks the same to me, I think a sales guy mentioned to me that the body kit changes with the sports pkg on the 135. Good question. Anyone?

No idea on the sports package.

Wheel styles and visible brake calipers.

It's a good question. I'm still considering getting the 128 with full sport package and everything else that the dealership can possibly do to make it look indentical to the 135. It's been mentioned that the entire vehicle is potentially more balanced with the NA engine.

But then, how would the final prices compare?

You don't get the M front and rear bumper on the 128i.

theres no way to "option" your way into an M-sport bodykit on the 128i, at least not from the documentation we've seen thus far. buying the bumpers from the dealer would probably be a very expensive venture.

From what I can see, there are no sheetmetal differences between 128i and 135i. The front and rear bumpers, side sills, and gurney flap on the decklid are all changed for the 135i vs the 128i. Non-structural changes like fog lamps, xenons, and window trim vary between models too.

--->dan051; what do you mean that the 135i has a plastic bumper but the 128i does not? They both have ABS or PP bumper covers front and rear, just styled differently for things like fog lights or oil coolers being there or not.

Cheers,
Ryan

i think he's referring to the fact that the 135i has the exposed black plastic section on the rear bumper at the bottom, where the 128i bumper is completely painted.

I believe the exhaust tips of both the 128i and 135i are the same.

I like the 128i's back bumper better than the 135i, which has a black insert at the bottom. The 128i's one-color rear style appears cleaner this way.
