Noop. I thought I read in this thread(?) the mods(to this Darkar Yellow 1M) so far have cost more than the base price of the 1M. FYI... BMW Individual normally runs between $2K if its a running option like some of the colors on the new M5 or IF it is a one off color... it can cost $5K from BMW NA. For the 1M, BMW Leipzig has to build the car in one of the normal "three colors"... then ships the completed car to Garching (3.5 hours away) where BMW M/Individual dismatles the car and repaints it and then reassembles the final car. . Like in that "Bronze" 1M we saw in Asia. I think it was reported by Scott26 that the paint job on that car cost four or five times the normal Individual color price($5K for USA). I think it was Scott26 who also said BMW has done a "few" 1M's in non standard colors and will not do it (again) in the future. But I think like everything else... money talks and IF your a "good" customer... Dackel |

no, I meant 2.5K for the paint itself + $XXXX for the jobs, I hardly imagine paint costs more than that, how much paint itself are we talking about? 2 coats, maybe 1/2 a gallon for the whole car. paint job price is a variable quantifiable by quality and could be big bucks! |

We will never know how much is for repainting unless OP comes out and let's us know, it won't be cheap I am sure. BTW, proper wrap will be north of 5K. |

Dont forget BBS requires new tires too... plus more is still yet to come on this project. A paint job like this will cost 12-15k unless you know someone or can negotiate real well. |

I understand what you saying. Here is an example of BMW Individual pricing... (German spec three series)... Lackierung = paint Polster = (interior) fabric So... thats €4,700 for the paint and €1,700 for the interior. Note that this price is for "special" cloth seats and accents - NOT leather! I've seen Individual leather priced around €5K. Btw... 1 EURO = $1.35 USd |

so, MSRP is $4700 for paint + job, it's a factory option meaning job there is no costs for stripping the car. Anyway, to _repaint_ it will be a lot more. Btw, how one can source individual paint? Something tells me they are not using 100(s) of touch up sticks just looked up, 100 of individual paint touch up sticks will run you about $2.5K for yellow, but that gives you a lot of paint |
