Autocross Pics - California Speedway 9/6/09
Here are a few pics my wife took at the BMW CCA Los Angeles Autocross. It was my first time out and even though I came in last in my class I still had a BLAST

Nice! Looks like a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to being last in my class this Saturday.

Cool stuff, some higher res pics next time though!
By the way, wrong forum but quick question.. does taking your car out to auto-x void the warranty or cause any problems if the car is leased? Are there insurance considerations? I've always wanted to do something like that, just don't know what the implications are regarding my car (since it's leased). Good luck on the next run! |

Yes if something happens while ON the track.... in other words, don't break it or crash it while out there. |

Did you get to talk to the guy in the white/blue e21 320i, next to you?!
I've been following his car build on bimmerforums for the past year. That was his first event in a loooong time. Here's the build thread. Awesome read. |

Nice pics. You got a few good ones of my 135i next to the 320 race car. I heard the owner saying that he felt the gearing was off for the track. Overall, he didn't seem too pleased with the car. His lap times weren't what I had expected, either, for such a hardcore setup.

That is a massive auto-x course. Ours here in NY are not anywhere near that in scope. hope you had fun.

That's what made this event so fun - the massive scale! It was a mile in course length. The lot was big enough that when I was working one end of the course, I couldn't hear most cars on the other side. It was a good mix of fast sweepers and technical, challenging corners.
