afr question advice??

hello you guys so lately i have been putting more attention to my gauges on my phone while i drive or even wot and im noticing that my afr is at 14.5 14 around that area

can anyone tell me whats a good afr

my mods are catless downpipe charge pipe obviously jb4

occasionally i might run 4 gallons or so of e85 but that doesn't seem to change the afr neither

it still stays at 14.5 or 14 or so.even with just regular 91 or a mix

on map 5 map 1 or map 2 i still stay around the 14.5 14 area?

is this good is it bad am i running way too lean???

or what are you guys recommendations

thanks

Plus all the research I did it seems I have a lean afr compare to most people

Now what's my next move to fix it or get it right or ?

That's where I'm trying to get at

Do I need a tune ? :

Do I need a tune ? :
1) the ideal air fuel ratio is 14.7 so i would say you're good
2) if you're running E85 with a proper kit for it (requires stronger/better lines) i would recommend having a tune as you have the ability to run more power with it

Uhhh no. No one runs turbo cars at stoich under load, you don't even run N/A cars that lean unless they are in cruise. Even NA cars aren't typically tuned leaner than 13:1.

11-11.5:1 under load, the bit of extra fuel helps cool the combustion chamber and help with knock prevention.

You're looking at the gauge wrong / at wrong time.

Post a log!

Looks fine to me. Near that 4K mark is where AFR tends to target lower, 12.2 or lower depending on tune.
But based on the trims I can tell there is still E85 in there.
And why the ignition is so choppy, I don't know. Need more data. Probably DTC kicking it.

You need to do logs with traction full off, and a solid 3rd gear, from 3K to redline would be nice.

Here is one I just pulled. I'm flash only, MHD E60 map; MHD version 1.66 IJE0S v7.1 E60AT_ALP

You can see it's about the same trend, near that 4K mark it starts to richen up.

Not really. An ICE isn't ever tuned for stoich. Richer under load, much leaner at cruise and let the cat take care of the elevated NOx emissions.

Three-way catalysts don't reduce NOx under lean operation

I think everything looks really solid.
The only thing I don't know what it is is "Trims". It's a JB thing that I'm just not familiar with.
But the fueling, boost and spark stuff looks nice. AFR is trending down just like it should, Spark going up with RPM. Boost looks really solid up to redline. I bet the car feels really smooth?

It honestly does feel smooth I'm not going to lie

my turbo seals are bad and I get a big cloud of blue smoke every now and then but the power on the car feels great

Is that normal :

I mean the car feels good but everyone is telling me my turbos seals are done

Does that effect performance ?
