'13 N55 DCT: Slight stumble/hesitation on low rpm, light throttle?
Not just the DCT lag delay, but it feels like there is slight stumble or hesistation at light throttle acceleration, below say 3000 RPM.
Plenty of throttle and/or mid-upper RPM the car seems to be running great, no smoke, no CEL, pulls well. I've read everything from "that's just the stock tune" to plugs, injectors, coils. I want to ensure the car is in tip top shape before I do any mods to it. The car only has ~28k miles. Thoughts? |

I'm wondering if it is the battery considering I'm also having this issue:
http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1478627 But it doesn't feel like the typical lag/throttle delay, the car is already moving then it "uh uh uh uh" it's not like a single surge forward. |

My 2013 135is does this on occasion as well. I have plugs on their way to me in the mail as we speak.
Another thing I've noticed is that it does it much more often if the HVAC is turned on. I try to run without the HVAC as much as possible. I've got a new battery and it still happens. I have about 35k on mine. Hopefully plugs will clear it up a bit, but we'll see. -Sam |

I had the throttle hesitation and stuttering when gas was applied under 30 MPH. I did a lot to chase down this problem. Nothing worked 100% until my dealer did what I posted in that sticky.

Excellent. I'll talk to my indy guy to see if he can do the same stuff before I go back to the dealer.

I had the same on occasion on my '13 with 37k on the clock. A new set of plugs made a noticeable difference in smoothness/power of acceleration and idle stability.

^Damn. And I told him to change the plugs when I brought it back from Indy when I had him change the oil and flush the brakes. He said, "It only has 27k miles on it, they don't need it until 40k."
I said OK.........then did more research on here and saw people recommending a 25k interval on the N54/55. |
