VIN - please post last 3 digits

*******************************************
PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR LAST 4 DIGITS and DELIVERY DATE
*******************************************
There has been a lot of talk about production numbers, etc. Of course we do not know what will exactly be built. So to help (I used to run one of the BMW CCA Special Interest Groups), I think it would be good to list the last 3 digits of the VIN under the country. Maybe we can keep this going and make it a "sticky". By placing the last 3 digits, no privacy issues should be raised. Please put your last 3 digits under your country (add your country to the list if it is not listed) and the delivery date - this should be for cars DELIVERED (not on order). Try to keep them in order too.

I am not trying to take the place of a registry, but rather help us keep up with numbers so we can quickly keep up them. Complete information will be placed in a register.

I think it is a great idea and maybe you can check out the format in the thread I am working on. I wanted to provide a bit more information like color, maybe options...I know the Z4 Mcoupe/Roadster registry's were a HUGE hit and provide a lot of information.

Let me know what you think...

Here is what the Official 1M Registry looks like so far:

I think a register would be great - We can do both - I was just wanting to put up something simple to see production numbers and countries. A Register would be great to add further info to.

I don't mean to thread jack but we need the last 4 as you can see Kippers has the earliest VIN as it precedes the 000. I also found another pre 000 being sold by a dealership.

Can you guys please update and include color too! Thanks!

Actually... I think you will need the last FIVE digits to be of any use. Just bc this is a new series of car doesn't mean BMW started out at: 00001.

The fifth number you are referring to(13th number in your VIN), has been consistently the number 7 so far, at least for NA. So as of today, we have from lowest to highest 75964-76166.

Just out of curiosity...

Do the 1M cars start with a WBA... VIN - for BMW Motorsport... ?

An ///M registry already exists. I think someone should write them have them include the 1M.

http://www.bmwmregistry.com/index.php

When the Z3 M cars were created, I believe their VINs shared the same sequence as the the other Z3s. You might find this is the same for the 1M, but I am not certain. The Z3Ms in general were all WBS cars, the very first and last cars were not.
