I've never loved or hated the ducktail but on the ///M1 I welcome it. It's a small, short car and this will give it a longer look without compromising performance. This thing is gonna be *sick*

Yeah, expect the standard BMW colors + updated ///M colors + throwback Inka orange and Golf Yellow + a new matte silver (hoping for frozen gray metallic).

It's already been stated that this is getting a twin turbo version of the N55.

Thanks. I missed that little detail. I hope this means no more HPFP issues.

Thanks Scott!!! Great work man! Glad to have you as part of our community here!

Scott, any chance you could give us some insight about yourself. Do you have a current role in marketing or engineering? Although maybe that is asking too much from our very own 1addicts crystal ball. Thanks!

There are a couple of threads where it's been discussed. The rumor is that they're going to take the single turbo N55 and put twins back on it, but something that's substantially different from the setup on the N54. Exactly what that means is anyone's guess.

I suspect that maybe they'll use a sequential setup to extend the upper RPM powerband beyond what the N54 is capable of, but that's just speculation.

Hopefully we have seen the end of the HPFP problems!

Scott is quite obviously a group of folk in the marketing division in BMW AG. I forget the name that BMW used to use, but there was female name that would respond to many people from BMW NA, that was really a department full of people.

We thank them a lot though!

Thanks as always Scott! Any new color options available with this model that we don't already have? Maybe a white variant?

In what way is this not like the M3 CSL? I bet the performance figures will end up being very similar, it may not be quite as hard core but it's a big step in the right direction.

I like the resistance to BMW throwing 19's on the car just because. IMO the wheels that should be used are those that are the smallest that can clear the brakes, aka, less weight and less rotational mass.
