First ding
OK, somebody banged into my rear bumper in a parking lot.
It left a 50-cent-sized depression, a shallow crater. 1. Have you had your first ding yet? 2. Can you use a hot-air gun or something to pop out a bumper ding?

Ugh...I woulda' been devasted. The damage might possibly be rectified by your local door ding remover, bet your dealer could recommend someone.

Ahhhh, say it isn't so!
For bumpers, it's amazing what they can do with heat. My parents previous vehicle had a piece of debris hit it's front bumper that left a football sized impression. They were able to heat it out and it looked like it never happened.

Ouch! If only we could wrap them in cotton wool whilst parked. Some people just have no respect for other's property. Bastards!

Ugh, I feel your pain. A construction semi started dropping bits of gravel about 200 yards in front of me & 1 lane over on the freeway this morning. I evaded as soon as I saw it, but it looks like I still got 5 or 6 chips in the front bumper & hood.

Oh man that hella sucks. That's why I park my car with cars with the same class or value, I never park next to cars that are shitty because they don't care about their car so they can care less about yours.

If you had a clear bra, you would have been save. I have a clear bra on my S2000 and man it work wonders, there were times where I should have a dozen rock chips, but the clear bra is working!

I don't like to sound paranoid or anything like that, but sometimes I just think there are as-hol-s out there that intentionally ding a nice new car... maybe driving an old truck and jealous or something. Or something else is totally fu-k-d up in their heads. Either way, it still ends up needing to be fixed. I just HATE door dings... or any kind of ding. It amazes me that someone can just casually come along and lay some damage on any vehicle, especially ones thst are worth so much money. I think the culprits should go to freakin' jail.

I don't think that theory works much... Mid aged lady in a MB talking on the phone, yeah I don't think she's thinking or even care about your car when she's opening her door.
I usually park near the back of the parking lot away from other cars. But even still, I manage to find people parking next to me when there are plenty of open parking spots in the front. |

I feel your pain. Many people don't respect other's property, especially a shiny new car. I'll be protective parking for many months in the 1er. Unfortunately, all material things break down, and cannot be new forever. But can't we avoid careless, stupid, unthinking, or even intentional damage for at least a few months?

I am sooo neurotic about door dings. I park so far away at the mall, that my wife likes to make to joke, "Hey, I can almost see the Mall from here"

Ok, how about this. I'll make a cube, made up of a whole bunch of other little colored cubes, and it would be a puzzle, and you turn rows of cubes to try to match................

Better pray it's not that old lady in her big Cadillac or Buick. She's a tough one.
