How was the drive? What roads did you go on? I'm pretty sure I'll be heading there for some sunday drives when I'm back in the area.

Rt. 9a up the East side of the Hudson to the Bear Mountain bridge. Down and up Seven Lakes Drive through the park (with a couple offshoots) and also some on 9w on the west side of the river. The scenery is great and the roads are wonderfully windy and relatively clean and free of traffic.

Two of the three of us had V1's and they helped a couple of times (as they always do). Once we were into the park on Seven Lakes we didn't see any cops gunning for drivers. There were some motorcyclists out enjoying the road too. I think they let you be for the most part. You are in small-town country though, so I wouldn't do anything to piss of the locals.

My wife grew up in that area. It is absolutely beautiful and a great place for a nice drive. I'll be heading there at least once when I finally get the car over here

Btw R8 is over rated...couldn't keep up with the bmws...hahah jk

Hard to say if we out-pulled Jaut's R8, but the three cars definitely didn't have any trouble staying at extra-legal speed even through the twistiest stuff.
