They took a small briefcase with work related stuff that isn't valuable to anyone but me. Went back and played detective trying to find where they tossed it but no luck.

Broke window and didn't even open door. Glasses, tool box lots of other hidden stuff if they had looked. Waste now spending time and money getting fixed and they got nothing.

No was forced to park in crappy lot away from work. Will be covered under insurance just dealing with getting it fixed out of my area while working with no friends to help out with getting rides and such.

That sucks man. Hopefully the damage is limited to just the glass, and not the mechanism or body work.

Someone tried to break into my dad's X5d about 6 months after he got it. The worst part was that he was in NYC, and had the car parked in the hotel lot...at the Marriot Marquis in Times Square. The dude (dudette) tried jamming a the drive side open with a screw driver and hammer, but BMW designed the mechanism to break off if such thing occurs, so he (she) basically prevented the door from opening. Marriot security was dumbfounded.

The perp f***** up the mechanism on the inside of the door too, which equated to the car being out for 1 1/2 weeks. Ended up being a $1,200 repair.

Fun times.
