Do ya' all think the beating has gone on long enough? The guy gets the point, early, in post #4, he apologized, understands 1ADDICTS is unlike 'the other' BMW forums, 1ADDICTS willingly accepts the 'unenlightened' to all the wonderfulness which is BMW 1-Series reverence. Give it a break.

^Here as well, coming from the 'olden days' of the 2002, I've not considered owning a 'bloated' BMW since the E30 M3. After the 2002 I switched to old American iron, it took the 135i to return this 'lost soul' to the fold. Preach brother, indeed...

Hey if this forum didn't have fresh blood it would smell pretty stale. When I check out some of the forums for other brands like Audi it's sad how little activity there is compared to here. This is one hopping place for a car forum dedicated to one particular model. I wonder if BMW is smart enough to take note. This car and in small part this forum is helping to reinforce their base of enthusiasts. That's valuable stuff to a car company.

The 135 is an entry level BMW. You would expect to find first time BMW owners on this forum. The unfortunate part of being a newbie is that you get flamed for your lack of knowledge. Not everyone is mechanically inclined but that does not remove the enthusiast from the person. The fact that they come to this forum for knowledge is a good thing. |

You could say that about 90-95% of all cars of today compared to the 70's...valid but not sound...

I actually think the initial post was good for the forum because it helped to remind many of us how blessed we are to have the 1ADDICTS family which is composed a good mix of vets/newbies.
I rarely go to the other Bimmer forums anymore...flaming gets old real quick. So, I'd like to thank the initial poster and I do accept his apology. Welcome to 1ADDICTS, glad to have you in the family. Why not share the love you have for your ONE...in a new thread of course Call

I'd rather drive with enthusiastic noobs then stubborn elitists, even though I am a purist/enthusiast myself, and not remotely new to BMWs.
So OP, have you really thought out that original post? You must be that guy in the M3 recently that gave me the finger just for driving a 135. Great attitude..

you know what's supposed to happen to noobs.
they're supposed to get PWN'ED. PWN THE N00BSTERS. i learned that one when i used to play halo. but no really... people come to 1addicts.com when they have questions, and i'm glad everyone can feel welcome here, as they should. |
