Still waiting for other manufactures to tune for the N51 DISA...cough Evolve.
Right now, AA is one of the few, but I don't know if they totally gain the benefits from what the DISA has to offer |

Not sure when that will happen for Evolve. They have no real access to the N51 cars(as they are separated by an ocean), and I can see how it isn't a particularly pressing matter for them either way. N51s are a sliver of a small market.

Upsetting, really. I'll probably just find someone else to do a local tune that knows BMWs and promote them. |

Last I checked on the N52, you could change the intake manifold to the one used by the 335, get a tune and a couple other bolt ons to get 20-30 HP. All for the tune of 2000 dollars.

Not a single part of that is correct.

According to Turner, this tune will net 10 peak crank horsepower and 10 crank torque. |

That's what I saw when I was searching for mods for my 328 earlier this year, was to get an intake manifold from the 335i as well as the parts to install that as well as a tune from Active Autowerke. All new parts ended up being 1493.22 when I looked. All that was supposed to get around 250HP. Unless there is some different thing to do for the N52 now, I couldn't find it after extensive googling.

Wrong.
The manifold swap is from a 330i, x3si, z3si, basically any n52 motor that makes 255+HP. It's also found on any of the n51 SULEV motors. I bought my manifold+both DISA motors and the vent hose for $280 shipped and the tune was 600 shipped. Far off from your $2,000. The manifold and tune netted me 220 rwhp which is about 260hp at the crank. It was off a 328xi with an n51 SULEV motor. edit: sorry if i come off like a dick, i'm just sick of misinformation being spread.

N54/N55 manifold is unrelated and doesn't apply.

euro 2010 125i remap 270+ bhp.
Going to see these guys tomorrow. Very excited. I already have the DISA manifold, my engine and ECU is same as the 130i MSV80 so just a de restriction rather than a re map. |

I'm kind of repeating what others have said....but yeah the automatic is slowing you down and there just isn't enough torque on the low end to do any type of launch.
I have the 328i automatic (same engine as you, but obviously heavier) and 0-60 times just aren't gonna happen. The engine/transmission combo was never meant for speed. "Our engine" is a true gem and great for cruising -- I love the car. But 0-60 times aren't our specialty. Ah....how I miss my 135i with the MT.....now that car was fast!! :-)
