aFE Magnum FORCE Stage-2 Si Sealed Intake

Hi all,

I've always been an advocate of a completely sealed intake. I've looked around and this one from aFE seems to have popped up as an excellent candidate. aFE has another model which is open ontop but seals with a grommet to the top of the hood (personally not a fan of that design).

Has anyone had any experience with this particular intake?

The restriction on the OEM airbox is not the panel filter. It's the 3"x4" opening to the airbox. Looks like this design would not address that fundamental issue.

Is it? Perhaps that's why a few people like to run the intake scoops to force a bit more air through the opening into the airbox.

Yeah I vaguely remember adrian@vishnu running the car on the dyno woth no filter in at all and getting the same results. Open box sounds cooler though

Surprsingly difficult to find anyone with first hand experience with this intake.

I noticed AnoooOH has it on his N55, as well as the Blisten 335i for SEMA that was featured on Motortrend YouTube channel a few weeks back.

Might give it a go, but I'll still ask around for any info :P

Regarding the lack of flow via the stock piping, wouldn't the scoops aFE sell help with that a little bit?

Only other sealed option I have found for the N55 is the Groupe M....forget it $$$
