Getting ready to take the plunge...

Well I think I have decided on a 330i and probably will put an order in tomorrow. Here is what I am thinking.

330i
Black Sapphire/Terra
Sport
Premium
Cold Weather
Step -- I am getting old and live in the city, so chill.
Sat Prep

I was quoted $41,390 and will take my '05 TSX w/7k miles on trade for $22,000 or I could sell it myself and they would do a courtesy trade, so I save the tax between the two. Seems like a pretty good deal. They said I could get it in 4-5 weeks.

I guess I posted this so some people can tell me I am doing the right thing. And that I am getting an okay deal. Maybe not the best deal, but fair at least.

A courtesy trade in? I want to sell my car to Carmaxx when my e92 comes in and I told them that but they didnt mention any courtesy trade.

What is a courtesy trade and how do i get it?

Very nice choices, but you really should consider Comfort Access too.

The TSX is perfect. I bought it for $25K. It is only a $3K hit. Keeping in mind they will do a courtisy trade. Meaning I can sell it myself and they will do the paperwork and I will get credit for the trade. For example, if I sell my car for $23K, I will just run the paperwork through them for like $75 and save some tax.

Is that legal?!?

Also, I was thinking TL when I read/wrote TSX. Not a bad hit at all if you can swing the deal.

I don't know much about carmaxx? All a courtesy trade is if you sell the car yourself and you run the paperwork through the dealer you can save the tax on the difference. Where I live tax is 7%. I will save over $1,400 due to the dealer doing that for me.

Yes it is legal. It is done all the time. A little story for you. I bought an '04 330i for $32K used. I for some reason sold it like an idiot and bought a TSX. I didn't want to pay tax on the TSX because I just bought that 330 6 months beforehand. I have a friend that is a dealer. I did all the paperwork through him. He made it look like I sold the 330 through him and bought the TSX through him from the Acura dealer. It was titled new to me by the way, because he is a dealer and just turned it over as a delivery. I didn't pay any tax on the TSX at all. Now I am going to pay only tax on the difference between the TSX and 330. I really don't want to do this again. I hope I like the 330.

You have up to a year to buy a car from a dealer you sold through. Hope this helps.

I have the same setup but only w/ the manual. I don't regret any options......well except for not checking the option for the comfort access! I think it's one of those things you tell yourself you don't need and is stupid, but once you have it , you'll never go back.

Well it is ordered and I was told it would be here in a month. I hope it gets here in that time. That would be great!
