Put catnip on the roof of the car next to yours.

Just wanted to follow up and let everyone know... the packing tape suggestion seems to have worked. (I hope I'm not jinxing myself by posting this!)
One night last week I put two 12 by 16 inch sections of sticky-side-up packing tape on the roof of the car where the cat likes to sleep. The next morning, one of the sections was mangled up on the ground behind the car. Wish I could have seen the cat step on that tape... Thanks again for all the suggestions! |

I agree with the pellet gun option without a doubt )
That way you get to have a bit of fun stalking it while ensuring it won't do it again once you get a direct hit on it's butt ! Imagine the joy you will feel when it screems and leaps about 20 feet in the air, never to return again.......job done.

The answer is literally under your feet!
So I have been trying to figure out the easiest and least expensive way to keep cats off my ragtop. As I am reading this forum, rolling my desk chair on the plastic mat underneath me - voila! Use an office mat and lay it on the roof with spikes up. It's heavy enough not to blow away and uncomfortable for cats to sleep on!
