Help Needed! Creating a YouTube Channel

So I know we have a ton of smart people on these forums and I’m looking for your feedback. I am creating a YouTube channel centered around reviewing vape products and will eventually do some videos using my M3. If you guys could let me know what you think it would be great. I’m currently having trouble getting an audience and with 6 videos, 2000 views I have only retained 52 subscribers. Please let me know whats needed.

I don't get vaping tobacco at all. It doesn't give nearly the buzz cigarettes give. At best it just keeps you addicted without any pleasure. Cannabis is different. When I used weed I always vaped it, herbs or extract. Now THERE is a good use for vaping. I did give you a sub and will keep an eye out for interesting content. You've got a good handle on presentation style and video editing, so your channel should do all right.

Actually most of the vape juices out there do not contain tobacco, they contain nicotine. I think a lot of people vape to try and quit or lower there nicotine levels over time. I prefer it over cigarettes because I no longer have to deal with stinky butts or smelly clothes. Neither vaping or cigs give you a buzz if you use them all day and everyday.

Well that's kind of the point, and I'm speaking as an occasional user who doesn't even smoke every day. Vaping nicotine is just not pleasurable and only works to stave off withdrawal / keep you addicted.

I guess I should try some tobacco in my Volcano. Probably give a pretty strong buzz.

With 3m minutes worth of video uploaded everyday on YouTube please let me know what I could create a channel on that would be original. I’d say this is about the same size as watch reviewers which has a lot of room to expand comparatively.

You just have to stay on it brother, I know it can be discouraging at first but if you keep putting out content and keep promoting your page it will grow, their is nowhere to go on youtube but up, just keep trying. if your good the followers will come. I've been MotoVlogging and doing harley davidson reviews for almost a year and have 4k subs, 1.3 million views and pulling some decent extra cheddar from it.

Yeah man looks good, staying on topic. stay mindful of you time, have to remember your trying to hold someones attention for 15 minutes, the average attention span is about 10 minutes. I'd try to keep them around that mark at first until you get more of a fan base, also I see you live in hawaii. You want to stand out, be different in some way. use that shit lol. theirs a nice spot over on ala moana drive you could sit at a table and have the beach behind you. just keep it up and think outside the box, see if you can get a local shop to back you and loan you product. you got it man.

Well, that part is clear at least. To make money.

The rest of this evokes my reaction to the vaping "car guys" who stroll around car meets looking very punchable....but we don't know OP so I'll not paint him with the same brush.

I'll throw my opinion out there. Making a channel about something that already has countless channels seems pointless. I can appreciate your endeavor here but let's ask a few questions. Why are you doing this? Is the desired result to educate individuals who vape or to make money? First thing I'd like to throw at you is that people that make money don't do what they do for the financial result, they do it for the love of it and the money comes along later. If you are doing this grasping at straws for dollars, you aren't going to be very successful. If this is the case have you thought about moving to Colorado and opening up a dispensary? In all seriousness here, it looks like you are trying to enter a market that is already over saturated.

If you are dead set on using YouTube as a platform maybe you should find a subject that is relatively new or doesn't have quite the saturation that vaping does. I get that you vape and people say that making money is easy if you love what you're doing, but in order to make money on vaping, perhaps selling the materials instead of making videos about products.

I would also consider a subject that doesn't have such quite a negative connotation to it. I realize that there are a lot of people that vape but for every person that does, there are 3-4 times as many that don't. I understand that you vape and I mean no disrespect as I smoke, but most people I know don't vape; and when we see people that do we do not think, "Man, that's cool" in fact it's quite the opposite.

I'm quite curious to hear your answer to the desired end result. If it's only about money, save your money, go see a financial advisor and invest in something. If it is truly for the love of the vape and educating people who already vape....good luck to you.

Let's be honest here....sex sells. Also have a nice shot of some cleavage for a nanosecond that way it shows on the thumbnail of the video but you never see it in the video. That shit used to get me all the time.
