The eternal wheel fitment question... with a twist
I'm on the verge of buying Fikse Profil 5S wheels for my stock 135i.
Front: 7½x18" ET44 running 225/40 Rear: 9x18" ET51 running 265/35 Based on the numerous posts here and on other sites I've no doubt the rear wheels will fit fine. However the front wheels has the twist of being ET44 (don't ask - this is my option with Fikse, take it or leave it). I think it's fine.... but still want to hear what you guys think. It almost corresponds to a 235 tire in the sideways perspective. I still think it'll clear the fender though - what do yo think? Will those extra 5mm fit? Info: I have 225/40-18 GoodYear ultragrip performance on the stock front rims and they fit fine. Info: the inner top edge of the front fender is 8mm further out than the outer face of the wheel. So the wheel will still sit 3mm farther in than the inner fender edge with an ET of 44. |

I think the front will fit just fine. I had the 264 wheel with 225/40 and there is plenty of clearance, I don't think the extra 5mm of offset will cause any problems.
