Some more pictures from last week. Shouldn't be too much longer as they are finishing up body work, seam sealing and having glass reinstalled.

Interesting. These are OE 19s right? Have you done any rear axle/hub work?

Yea 19s. Still on stock 135i hubs. I know some of the 1M guys run a spacer in the rear to help with fitment/looks, so I wanted to wait and see how this looked as the 135i has a 10mm spacer built into the hub.

Once I raise the rear slightly I should not have any rubbing issues. I have pics attached of clearance with and without load. Body shop is going to roll the inner fenders some to help as well.

Hm. How big are the tires? 285/30? Roll and very subtle pull is definitely on the menu.

I was planning to do 19x11 et 44 rears with 305/315 tires but this has me questioning. I had read the same thing about M hubs vs 135i hubs being 10mm different.

Yes 285/30 rears. If your going that wide you will 100% need to do the hub conversion. What wheels are you planning to run?

VS5-RS likely, but nearly three way tie between them, EC7-RS and the limited run wide forged M359 via a group buy guy with contacts that I'm apparently not allowed to post here... Weird.

I like the forged 359 the best but I like being able to quickly replace a wheel if needed. 3 month wait times aren't great for a DD.

Car is back home. Lots of work to get done still.

Also fuel pump was whining on the drive home. So may have to address that as well.

Thanks! Back to your wheels. Yeah i think going super custom might be tough with a daily car. You want something you can order quick incase something does happen.

Some wrap progress. Hopefully I’ll have it fully put back together by November.

Satin Grey Metallic. Few others have used the color and I think it looks fantastic on the 1er.

Slowly making progress on the wrap. The color is really growing on me.

BMW got half the order right. The left tower is clearly the 1Ms square design. The right tower looks to be the 135i version. Going to see if BMW can get the correct right one before end of the month when the car gets dropped off.
Sorry for bringing up an old post, but this is where I'm stuck on my build.

What are the parts number for the 1M rear support towers that you ordered?

Please and thank you.

Making progress. Interior still needs to be put back in, fix fuel pump and button up the exterior. Looking great tho. It’s an amazing difference after swapping out 6 year old worn tires. Such a smooth ride now.

Akrapovic installed. Sounds glorious. I have a set of super sprint mids to go on as well. But may hold off as it’s pretty loud now.

Very nice. Thinking about getting titanium exhaust to go with the LS3. Did you get the titanium akra? Kinda looks like it.

Yes it’s titanium. Don’t think akrapovic does steel, only titanium.
