that's exactly what we get here in Malaysia too!

wonder if we the Asian ever have the chance to customise our order like the ED programme offered as in the US.

i like to get the Nav/Sat with idrive....sport suspension, 18"rims chrome window trim, logic 7 sound system....etc..etc....
too bad, BMW doesnt care for its customer here....
so sad!

at least get to choose what we like to have on our new E90...

Automatic transmission std? Hope not! For the rest, it is essentially an European 320i 4cyl. with more equipment.

The emissions standards may be different on this car than on a european model.

I was in Singapore in June and visited the BMW dealer there. Saw a 325i on the showroom floor for S$119,000 including COE (COE is one of the major components of tax).

That's about US$70,000, I think.

Remember that Singapore has the highest standard/cost of living in the world...it is a beautiful country, and a very clean/safe place. I was there several times and have always enjoyed the time there.

Resale outside our borders...

I dont know about anyone else..but i keep seeing all these insane prices for cars in other countries and cant help thinking about a way to get my us bmw over there in 4 years and not only allow someone to buy a car for less money but make what i spent back! im sure it would be very hard w/ emissions in some countries but there has to be somewhere where the us spec bmw would pass. what do you all think?

The USA has one of the highest emissions standards in the world. I'll bet your BMW will pass.
The problem you will have in some countries is the duty they will have to pay when they buy your car. Not to mention the money to ship the car. It is usually the duty that makes them so expensive in the first place.

The USA is way too cheap

a 325i only costs 60% of what we pay here where it is made

Lamborghini's and Ferrari's are half price in the USA

And fuel is also much cheaer in the USA

Isn't that the truth, when I owned my 325xi in Boston, premium gas was insanely cheap compared to the rates I've seen in Europe, Hong Kong and Japan.
