From that pic, I think you installed it in the wrong place.

Installed ST-XTA Coilovers, Bremmer BR05 wheels, and M3 front control arms. Getting a new alignment tomorrow!

All this talk about front-rear weight distribution and everyone forgets about the side-to-side... This should even out your left-right tire wear substantially.

Looks nice. Coby wheel has been popping up a lot lately. Is it a forum member? Company?
Going to take my 128i to test drive a 228i and 235i. Don't worry, I won't go to the dark side. I just want to get the drive out of my system. I got to see for myself what all the fuss is about. Will post later what I find.

I met with my SA and he had the 228i waiting for me at the front door. It was an Estoril Blue 228i with the M-Sport package, and it definitely mean mugs the hell out of my 128i with the LCI bumper. It is a great looking car at all the frontal angles, but our 1er still takes the cake from the rear. As is quite obvious, the car is generally bigger all around. On the inside the armrest is wider and longer, the dash is bulkier and closer to your body along with all the added buttons and i-drive system. The M-Sport steering wheel is thin on the tri-beams with the thick wheel that does provide a great grip (I like it a little thick ) With that said, it is obvious there are more interior features in the 228i compared to our 128i, but I like it that way. It's a simpler car where I just want to push the "Start Engine" button and turn up the volume to my favourite songs while tearing apart the roads... Which brings me to the drive. This now gets obligatory. My SA told me it had 240hp and 255tqs, so here I am thinking it should feel slightly quicker than my 128i. Yeah...I suppose it does feel subtly faster but I was being anal during my comparison. The real test was how quick does it feel under load? I took it to a big hill, downshifted to 3rd to keep the rpm's around 2700-3000 and punched it, shifted to 4th at 4000rpm and ran it up to 4000rpm again, and it honestly felt slower than my 128i. I made sure of this because I did the same thing afterwards in my car. The steering wheel and suspension felt like I was floating on a cloud, even in sport mode, but it took turns about as well as my 128i. Which brings me to my conclusion: If you care about buying a modern BMW but don't really care about having the newest tech, don't even bother with the 228i and just pick up a slightly used 128i with a 6MT. But if you are able to get the 235i...then don't hesitate if the 128i/228i power will not satisfy your lust. Because I drove the 235i with the DCT transmission and I could see myself getting into real trouble real fast. I am glad I went for those test drives and got it out of my system, I am delighted to say I couldn't wait to get back in my 128i, knowing that I'll be purchasing it at the end of my lease come June.

First time really cleaning the seats. Used Leather Masters strong cleaner. They weren't that dirty to begin with, but I was surprised at how much dirt can go unnoticed on Coral Red.

I used some meguiars cleaner and it made such a difference, the red really hides the dirt.

Upgraded to RB stainless steel vented pistons with high temperature dust boots. Even with titanium shims in place, the stock pistons and boots were still adversely affected by heat as seen in the first photo.

Removed the factory 'spoiler', looks nice and clean with the natural duckbill of the trunk lid. BMW Performance duckbill spoiler will come later on.
