18x9.5 et40. Will it work???

I have been reading these posts for days and have decided on Niche Misanos for my e88. Now the question is what size. According to discountedwheelwarehouse.com I need 18x8 et40 on front and 18x9.5 et40 on rear. The front will work but what about the rear? Wont that set out too far? I want close to flush with no rubbing. I DONT want them to look like they are setting out too far. Also, what tires all around? Stock msport suspension and I dont want to have to worry about rubbing. ANY help is much appreciated as the car is currently sitting with a blown out tire and scratched wheel from a pothole.

the Tire Rack

If you look thru the Tire Rack you will see many OZ wheels with 18x9 with 40mm in the rear. In BBS, they use 44mm in rear. So I guess you'll just have to test fit a wheel on the rear because it seems that fit is dependant upon the wheel itself.

If you want to be safe, no lower than 50 in the rear. You can get 40 to fit with camber and sacrificing tire size.

you can do 265/35 on 9.5 et 50 with a roll with out having to do crazy rear camber. Also depends on the tire you choose. Some have square shoulders and others are more rounded

Change of plans. Not getting those unless I do a square set up. 18x8 et40. Not sure I want to do that either.

Smart 1Junkie, I'd definitely buy those wheels square if I bought them. Then I'd still put wider tires on the rear, 225/40 fr, 245/35 r. The 9.5" rear tire would definitely stick out with that offset.

hey, thought i'd chime in.

if you're looking for ET40 in the front, you should only go with a 225 and no higher. even a 215 if you can help it (doubt it but you never know). you'll probably rub with anything bigger. rears should be fine with a 265 but i wouldn't bet on it.

if you're looking for a car to refer to, my E82 has 18x8 ET40 wheels on 235/40ZR18 tires with H&R super sport springs. the fronts rub when turning

i'd post the image, but it's too big. here's the link - https://vgy.me/Oa3L5p.png
